Die handling made easy with unique designs in Bolster Extensions

Die positioning options just got better. Traditionally, Bolster Extensions came in two designs, lift-off and swing-away. Now you can have "Detachable", "Slotless", and "Traveling" Bolster Extensions as well. PFA Incorporated makes the largest selection of Bolster Extensions available anywhere including innovative table designs.

Cylindrical rollers on Bolster Extensions reduce the force necessary to move a die to about 1 to 3 percent of die weight.

Detachable Style Bolster Extensions help meet handling requirements in the 6,000 to 60,000 lbs. range. They are supported by one or more legs and are easily secured to and removed from the press. Detachable Bolster Extensions are also produced without rollers for use with special die lifters.

Lift Off Bolster Extensions are produced in several models to help move dies weighing 8,000 lbs. and more: Traditional styles; "Rollerless" with no rollers, and "Slotless" for bolsters without slots for die lifters.

Loading and un-loading dies from Bolster Extensions are easily done by forklift or crane. Bolster Extensions are therefore essential components of many Quick Die Change (QDC Systems).

Swing-Away Bolster Extensions are convenient, space permitting. Standard models allow loading of dies to 24,000 lbs.
