The "Hydra-Latch" KO Bar Latching system (Hydra-Latch or Latch for short) provides quick connection/disconnection of KO Bars at the molding machine's knockout plate.
The Latch modules are hydraulically opened to release the KO Bars and mechanically closed to secure the KO Bars. All KO Bars are secured and released simultaneously. We call this system Hydra-Mechanical.
There is a variety of Latch configurations to choose from. Each can be used in combination with others to serve the desired knockout pattern.
A Latch Pin is added to each knockout bar. The latch Pin interfaces with the Latch module to secure the selected KO Bars to the machines knockout plates.
The Latch Modules are secured to the back of the KO Plate using hollow bolts which go through the existing holes in the KO Plate as shown in the following illustration:
A latch pin is secured to each KO Bar as shown in the following illustration:
The moving plates inside the Latch Module is shown closed (following illustration) and securing the latch pin which is attached to the KO Bar. This is the position for molding.
When the moving plates are opened, the latch pins may be removed or inserted (see following illustration).

LM-143 - Typically used on 16 x 52 or larger KO Pattern. For 2" diameter KO Bars.
LM-2133 - Typically used on 20 x 40 KO Pattern. For 2" diameter KO Bars.
LM-293 - Typically used on 6 x 28 KO Pattern. For 2" diameter KO Bars.
LM-246 - Typically used on 4 x 16 KO Pattern. For 1" diameter KO Bars.
LM-376 - Typically used on 7 x 7 and 4 x 16 KO pattern. For 1" diameter KO Bars.
LM-2113 - Typically used on 6 x 28 and 10 x 40 KO Pattern (Diagonal placement). For 2" diameter KO Bars.
LM-2115 - Typically used on 6 x 28 KO Pattern. For 2" diameter KO Bars.
LM-2155 - Typically used on 10 x 40 KO Pattern. For 2" diameter KO Bars.
