Mold exchange is easy with PFA Incorporated's Quick Mold Change (QMC) systems. Platen plates are added to each machine platen which allow hydraulic clamps to be positioned to reach molds from sides or top/bottom. The mechanically locked clamps retain clamping force after hydraulic pressure is disconnected. Thus hydraulic pumps are not dedicated to a specific machine. The platen plates also feature our exclusive mold guide slot for precise mold alignment. An optional leveling feature is also available. Machines with T-slots do not require the platen plates. We call QMC systems for molding machines to 150 Tons "Mini-Jaws". Larger systems are called "Hydra-Jaws".

| Knock Out Bar (KO Bar) connect/disconnect is accomplished by "Mini-Latch" and "Hydra-Latch" KO Bar Quick Change system. Hydraulic pressure is used to open up the units permitting separation of the KO Bars and powerful springs are used to close the units to secure the KO Bars. | ||||||||
